IL CANTIERE: MISSION
A name is worth a thousand words.
The word "Cantiere" (Building Site) calls up images of chaotic activity, a mixture of manual labour and materials. The atmosphere is intense in expectation of new creations taking shape. In a building site - as we all know - the path is never linear; there's always an unexpected problem to overcome, but the solution is found because the project must proceed. But above all, in a building site, small changes are seen every day until suddenly the chaos becomes order, the dust disappears and everything is ready, finished and new. Anyone who has ever been fascinated by a building site can easily understand how an entrepreneurial/production business that has decided to take precisely this name can be just as intriguing.
Il CANTIERE was founded in 2006 as the entrepreneurial brainchild of Cinzia Palazzetti and Gigi Rossi, designer.
Il Cantiere works concrete, a special type of concrete: Ductal®, patented and produced by Lafarge.
Il Cantiere has developed a unique know-how for working Ductal® Cement through the creation and use of ad-hoc moulds.
In the new production facility recently inaugurated in Fiume Veneto (PN), every processing phase, from the realization of prototypes to the industrialization of the product, is the result of continuous research.
Today this business dialogues mainly with three different worlds through three dedicated, creative and productive laboratories

A laboratory conversing with the world of architects and designers to offer customized or standard solutions capable of giving form to their creativity.
Il Cantiere/Partnerships
A laboratory conversing with the world of businesses offering solutions based on excellent and exclusive partnership agreements. The laboratory supports businesses which require its expertise in perfecting their product.
Il Cantiere/Collections
A laboratory conversing with the world of consumers through finished collections, in turn the result of meticulous research. This laboratory strives, after having designed and tested the products, to offer collections intended to explore different uses or forms.
Today the Cadè Collection is composed of indoor and outdoor solutions including: tables, planters, radiant sculptures, surfaces for walls and floors available in standard dimensions, colours and textures.
Through these three worlds, Il Cantiere takes the Ductal® Cement into new contexts.
