/ Balustrade Galeries Lafayette

The project Galeries Lafayette consists of a series of panels in Ductal, designed by the Studio Briand & Berthereau, which constitute a section of the iconic balustrades of the Parisian department store. The concrete panels evoke the structure and the aesthetics of the already existing iron sections, and they recreate the sign ‘Galeries Lafayette’ with at the centre a minimalist review of the monogram ‘GL’.
The concrete panels are characterised by elegant and elaborate shapes, and on their surface a series reflecting glass beads have been applied in order to increase the visibility of the sign at night when it is illuminated.
